Your life, made easier. An authorized Control4 dealer serving the East Valley.
Amp AV handles control4 dealers in Paradise Valley and across the East Valley, about 30 minutes from our Mesa shop. Paradise Valley is almost entirely large custom homes on acre-plus lots, and that single fact changes every system we design there.
Why Paradise Valley Properties Need a Backbone, Not a Box
Paradise Valley is almost entirely acre-plus lots, and a house spread across that kind of footprint is a different design problem than a half-acre lot in Chandler or a newer subdivision in Scottsdale. When a primary residence, guest house, pool house and detached garage all sit on the same property, no single equipment closet or wireless access point can reach every structure. We plan Control4 automation in Paradise Valley as a backbone project first: cable runs, network switches and distribution points mapped to the actual distances involved, not to a standard single-panel layout. Custom homes compound this. Almost nothing here was built from a repeatable floor plan, so a control system that worked for the house next door usually will not map cleanly onto yours. We start from the architect’s plans or a walkthrough of the actual structure, not a packaged system size. And because so many of these homes were designed with real architectural intent, visible equipment reads as a mistake. Keypads sit recessed or flush-mounted, speakers go in the ceiling or wall, and shade pockets stay concealed as the default approach on a property like this, not an add-on option, since exposed equipment racks would work against the design the home was built around.
How the Control4 System Works Here
Amp AV is based in Mesa and holds Control4 authorized dealer standing, with Paradise Valley inside that coverage area. Rather than a sales pitch, every job begins with a consultation that produces a written system proposal, with optional third party monitoring available through recommended providers and insurance considerations addressed along the way. Control4’s controller lineup scales to the size of the property, which matters on the larger lots common here: a guest house and pool house can run off the same brain as the main residence instead of operating as separate, disconnected systems. Control on a property this size needs to work from wherever you actually are, so we set up hard button keypads near entries and main rooms, touch screens at key stops, and mobile and voice control for everywhere else. Control4 also integrates with Josh AI, an intuitive voice control platform that does not sell or share user data, which is often the deciding factor for homeowners who want voice control without adding a smart speaker company to their network. We only recommend a full system when there is a genuine need for one, not to make a sale.

During the course of our new build, we got a few AV quotes, but when I visited the showroom and spoke to Greg I was sold. During the build process I was there daily watching subs and their work, AMP AV was always on time, extremely meticulous in the routing of cables and placement of equipment, and always clean. At the end of the install, everything was as planned and looks amazing. Never being a home audio guy, it sold me after this experience with Greg and Ryan. Also being a little tech challenged, they came back out to dial me and my wife in on how to use everything to it's potential. Definitely recommend, and this is not a paid review. 5 stars!Posted on Google![]()

Highly recommended. They installed a home theater surround sound system and also fixed some faulty wiring for our patio speakers. Excellent work quality, great communication, and showed up on time for each planned visit.Posted on Google![]()

Greg and his team are pros; they were very comprehensive in the consultation process, provided detailed quotes, and showed value. Once on-site the crew was knowledgeable, respectful, and eager to customize to meet our needs. I’d recommend any day of the week.Posted on Google![]()

Greg and his team were great to work with! Greg came out for the initial assessment and answered all of my questions. When his techs Ryan and Easton showed up they were prompt, courteous, and did a wonderful job installing my network drops and cameras. Highly recommend working with the Amp AV team!Posted on Google![]()

We absolutely recommend Greg/Amp AV. This company came out (hired mid to late 2019) and fixed a huge mess from our previous home automation guys. Our system was left complicated. Greg is honest, patient, and extremely willing to help. Amp AV gave us options and were willing to work around with the equipment we already had. Not only are they friendly and professional, the response time is quick and scheduling is made in a timely manner. We will continue to use this company and I would highly recommend for your home automation/tech needs. Prices are fair, I did compare to a few different companies.Load more
Paradise Valley Questions
Yes, that's a common layout in Paradise Valley and it's exactly what a Control4 backbone is built for. We run wired network connections to each structure and put the guest house and pool house on the same controller as the main home, so lighting, audio and climate operate from one interface instead of three separate systems you have to manage individually.
Yes. Most Control4 installs on Paradise Valley properties use recessed and flush-mount keypads, in-ceiling and in-wall speakers, and shades that retract into a concealed pocket, so the finished look shows almost no hardware. We plan the concealment during the design phase, working from the home's actual architecture rather than fitting a standard package after the fact.
On a footprint that size, one router rarely holds up. We run a wired backbone to multiple access points placed to match your actual floor plan, keeping signal steady from one wing to the other. This is the first problem we solve on almost every Paradise Valley project, before we get into which control platform or entertainment layer makes sense for the rest of the house.
That's the norm here, not the exception. Paradise Valley is almost entirely custom construction, so we don't start from a packaged system or a template floor plan. We walk your actual house, room by room, and design the wiring, speaker placement and equipment locations around how your specific layout is built, not how a typical production home is built. Two Paradise Valley homes on the same street can end up with completely different system designs.
Yes, and on acre-plus lots like most of Paradise Valley, that's usually a bigger project than the interior. We treat the backyard as its own zone plan: weatherproof speakers and access points run on the same wired backbone as the house, sized for the actual distance between the pool, the outdoor kitchen and the sport court rather than one exterior zone trying to cover all of it. Coverage and volume stay consistent across the whole lot, not just near the patio doors.
