That changes how we plan multi-room audio and video before we ever touch a speaker. Cable runs have to follow the actual structure, up through framed walls, across a garage ceiling, down to a lower patio, rather than the straight horizontal runs you would plan on a flat East Valley lot. The view is the other constant here. Homes facing the McDowells or the fountain itself are built around walls of glass, and glass reflects sound instead of absorbing it, so a room that looks perfect on paper can sound harsh unless the speaker layout and any room treatment account for that hard, flat surface. On the plus side, the same lot separation that spreads houses out in Fountain Hills also means less wireless interference bleeding in from a neighbor, a real problem in denser parts of the Valley.
