Amp AV handles alarm system installation in Chandler and across the East Valley, about 20 minutes from our Mesa shop. What Chandler's Housing Stock Means for an Alarm Install
Chandler’s residential growth came fast through the 1990s and 2000s, and most of the homes we work in reflect that: frame construction, often two stories, built inside a master-planned community. That build era matters for alarm work because a lot of these houses already carry structured wiring behind the drywall from the original construction. In communities like Ocotillo and Fulton Ranch, it is common to find Cat5e or coax runs already pulled to a central closet, and before quoting anything, we check whether that closet can also host the alarm panel and whether the existing pathway can carry new door and window contact wiring instead of fishing new runs through finished walls. That is often the first real decision in an alarm system installation in Chandler, and it can change the scope of the job meaningfully. Two-story layouts also change the sensor plan: more upstairs windows, more perimeter openings around patios and casitas, and stairwells that need to be accounted for in motion coverage. Because HOA rules are the norm across Chandler’s planned communities, we plan keypad location and any visible equipment to work within those rules from the start, rather than installing first and adjusting later.
The Systems We Install and How the Process Works
On the hardware side we typically install Honeywell Vista and Pro Series panels along with Clare Controls and Ring equipment, choosing panel capacity based on the home rather than defaulting to a fixed package, which shows up in Chandler’s bigger two-story layouts that bring extra doors and windows into the coverage plan. Amp AV’s model does not lock you into a long-term monitoring contract to get the system installed: we sell the equipment and a full installation up front, and monitoring is your choice afterward. If your home already has a different brand’s alarm hardware in it, we will replace the primary components with our standardized product line so the system we service is one we can actually support well. Ring hardware requires a Ring Protect plan and is monitored through Ring directly. For Chandler homeowners who already have a camera system installed, it is worth knowing that cameras and alarms work independently: cameras do not notify a central station on their own when a door or window is breached.

During the course of our new build, we got a few AV quotes, but when I visited the showroom and spoke to Greg I was sold. During the build process I was there daily watching subs and their work, AMP AV was always on time, extremely meticulous in the routing of cables and placement of equipment, and always clean. At the end of the install, everything was as planned and looks amazing. Never being a home audio guy, it sold me after this experience with Greg and Ryan. Also being a little tech challenged, they came back out to dial me and my wife in on how to use everything to it's potential. Definitely recommend, and this is not a paid review. 5 stars!Posted on Google![]()

Highly recommended. They installed a home theater surround sound system and also fixed some faulty wiring for our patio speakers. Excellent work quality, great communication, and showed up on time for each planned visit.Posted on Google![]()

Greg and his team are pros; they were very comprehensive in the consultation process, provided detailed quotes, and showed value. Once on-site the crew was knowledgeable, respectful, and eager to customize to meet our needs. I’d recommend any day of the week.Posted on Google![]()

Greg and his team were great to work with! Greg came out for the initial assessment and answered all of my questions. When his techs Ryan and Easton showed up they were prompt, courteous, and did a wonderful job installing my network drops and cameras. Highly recommend working with the Amp AV team!Posted on Google![]()

We absolutely recommend Greg/Amp AV. This company came out (hired mid to late 2019) and fixed a huge mess from our previous home automation guys. Our system was left complicated. Greg is honest, patient, and extremely willing to help. Amp AV gave us options and were willing to work around with the equipment we already had. Not only are they friendly and professional, the response time is quick and scheduling is made in a timely manner. We will continue to use this company and I would highly recommend for your home automation/tech needs. Prices are fair, I did compare to a few different companies.Load more
Chandler Questions
Often, yes. Chandler saw most of its residential construction during the 1990s and 2000s, and homes inside its master-planned communities frequently came prewired with Cat5e or coax lines feeding into a central closet. That closet is the first thing we inspect. When the pathway and the closet's location hold up, new alarm wiring gets routed through what's already in place rather than fishing fresh runs through finished drywall, and that typically brings the job in at a lower cost.
Monitoring is not required, and Amp AV does not currently offer it directly, though we help you set it up through a recommended third party. Many homeowners self-monitor instead, getting alerts on their own phone and deciding whether to call the police. Third party monitoring is optional, and choosing it is worth a call to your insurer beforehand, since a monitored alarm can sometimes lower a homeowner's premium.
Yes. Two-story homes built during Chandler's growth years typically have bedrooms upstairs and multiple exterior doors downstairs, so we plan door and window contacts on both levels plus a motion sensor covering the stairwell or upstairs landing to catch anyone moving between floors. Frame construction also means sensor wiring can usually run inside wall cavities cleanly, which keeps the finished look tidy behind drywall and trim.
Many Chandler communities have HOA guidelines that govern what is visible from the street, including exterior sirens, keypads, or signage. We work within those guidelines rather than around them, so tell us your HOA's rules or send the community's design standards and we will plan equipment placement, such as exterior siren location, to stay compliant while still giving you full coverage.
Newer Chandler builds often feature open great rooms with tall glass walls instead of a few standard windows, which means more individual panes to protect. We break large window walls into separate zones so a breach at any point still pinpoints the exact location on your panel, rather than lumping the whole glass wall into one contact.
