Your life, made easier. An authorized Control4 dealer serving the East Valley.
Amp AV handles control4 dealers in Chandler and across the East Valley, about 20 minutes from our Mesa shop. Chandler grew fastest through the 1990s and 2000s, so most of the homes we work in are master-planned community builds from that era, often two story, frame construction, and already carrying some structured wiring behind the drywall.

What Chandler's Building Boom Left Behind the Drywall
Most of Chandler took shape in two building booms, one in the 1990s and another in the 2000s, which is why the houses we wire for Control4 tend to be two-story frame construction with cable already run inside the walls before the drywall went up. In planned communities like Ocotillo and Fulton Ranch, builders pulled Cat5e or coax to a central closet as standard practice, and that existing rough-in is the first thing we check before quoting a project. Reusable runs to a central point change the scope and the schedule considerably, less wall-fishing, less patching, more of the budget going toward the actual system.
In Chandler subdivisions built within the last decade or two, floor plans lean toward open sight lines between the main living areas, higher ceiling heights, and larger sections of glass along the exterior walls. That’s a bright room, but it’s also an acoustically live one. Hard surfaces bounce sound in ways a smaller, carpeted room doesn’t, so getting speaker placement and room correction right matters more here than it would in an older or more broken-up floor plan. We treat that as a measurement problem, not a guess.
Chandler’s planned communities also mean HOA rules are the norm rather than the exception, and those rules usually have something to say about exterior cameras and visible equipment. We plan camera placement and equipment location around what the HOA allows before we install, not after.
From Consultation to Control: What a Control4 System Includes
As an authorized Control4 dealer serving Chandler and the broader East Valley, Amp AV starts every job with a walkthrough and a proposal shaped by the specific house we saw, never a one-size-fits-all package, and third party monitoring stays optional through our recommended providers. Control4’s system runs on a controller sized to the job: a compact great room setup and a two-story home with a media room and multiple zones don’t need the same brain, and that scaling matters in Chandler, where lot sizes and floor plans vary block to block even inside one HOA.
Once the controller is in, how you touch the system is up to you: keypads at the doors, a touchscreen in the kitchen, the app on your phone, or voice. Control4 can also pair with Josh AI, a voice control platform designed around keeping homeowner data out of the hands of advertisers and data brokers, something many of the Chandler families we serve care about. We don’t propose a system before we’ve confirmed there’s an actual need for one.

During the course of our new build, we got a few AV quotes, but when I visited the showroom and spoke to Greg I was sold. During the build process I was there daily watching subs and their work, AMP AV was always on time, extremely meticulous in the routing of cables and placement of equipment, and always clean. At the end of the install, everything was as planned and looks amazing. Never being a home audio guy, it sold me after this experience with Greg and Ryan. Also being a little tech challenged, they came back out to dial me and my wife in on how to use everything to it's potential. Definitely recommend, and this is not a paid review. 5 stars!Posted on Google![]()

Highly recommended. They installed a home theater surround sound system and also fixed some faulty wiring for our patio speakers. Excellent work quality, great communication, and showed up on time for each planned visit.Posted on Google![]()

Greg and his team are pros; they were very comprehensive in the consultation process, provided detailed quotes, and showed value. Once on-site the crew was knowledgeable, respectful, and eager to customize to meet our needs. I’d recommend any day of the week.Posted on Google![]()

Greg and his team were great to work with! Greg came out for the initial assessment and answered all of my questions. When his techs Ryan and Easton showed up they were prompt, courteous, and did a wonderful job installing my network drops and cameras. Highly recommend working with the Amp AV team!Posted on Google![]()

We absolutely recommend Greg/Amp AV. This company came out (hired mid to late 2019) and fixed a huge mess from our previous home automation guys. Our system was left complicated. Greg is honest, patient, and extremely willing to help. Amp AV gave us options and were willing to work around with the equipment we already had. Not only are they friendly and professional, the response time is quick and scheduling is made in a timely manner. We will continue to use this company and I would highly recommend for your home automation/tech needs. Prices are fair, I did compare to a few different companies.Load more
Chandler Questions
Often, yes. A lot of the homes we work in around Ocotillo and Fulton Ranch have Cat5e or coax already run to a central closet, and if those runs test out, we build the system around them instead of opening walls. We check this during the initial walkthrough, before we write a proposal, so you know upfront whether your existing wiring is usable or whether new runs are the better call.
It limits where hardware sits, not what the system does. We plan camera and equipment placement around your HOA's exterior rules during the walkthrough, working with what's allowed rather than trying to get around it. As one of the Control4 dealers active in Chandler's planned communities, we've generally found a placement that satisfies both the HOA and the system's coverage needs.
Yes. A great room built open-concept, with tall or two-story ceilings and plenty of glass, behaves as an acoustically live space: sound bounces off hard surfaces rather than getting soaked up, which raises the stakes on where speakers sit and how they get tuned compared to a smaller room with softer finishes. During design we choose speaker locations to work with that layout and run room correction so the sound stays even and clear instead of harsh or boomy across that much open, reflective space.
Yes. Newer Chandler builds often put a full glass wall between the great room and the patio, which makes indoor and outdoor feel like one continuous space, but the audio does not have to work that way. We set the patio up as its own zone with its own volume and source, so it can run independently of the great room whether the sliders are open or closed, and one space won't drown out the other.
Coax alone usually isn't enough for a full Control4 install, the control and network backbone generally wants Cat5e or better. On a finished two-story frame home like most of what was built in Fulton Ranch, we don't need to cut into walls to add it, we can typically fish new cable through the attic and the chases the original electrician left. We confirm exactly what's usable and what needs to be pulled during the initial walkthrough.
