Your life, made easier. An authorized Control4 dealer serving the East Valley.
Amp AV handles control4 dealers in Gilbert and across the East Valley, about 15 minutes from our Mesa shop. Gilbert is largely a new-build town, and that is good news for anyone adding technology: a large share of the homes we see were prewired at construction, so the structured cabling is already in the walls waiting to be used.

What Gilbert's New-Build Housing Stock Means for a Control4 Install
Most of the homes we work on in Gilbert were built within the last two decades, which means a structured cabling prewire is usually already sitting in the walls before we show up. That is a real head start for adding a Control4 system, but it comes with a catch we run into on nearly every job here. Builders prewired for a checklist, not for how a family actually uses the rooms, so speaker runs often land a few feet off from where the couch and TV ended up, and every cable in the house gets landed in a small coat closet with a single vent and no room for a controller, amps, or a network rack. Untangling that closet and rerouting a handful of runs is usually the bulk of the labor on a Control4 install here. Agritopia, Seville, and Val Vista Lakes bring in a further wrinkle, with bigger parcels, actual backyards, pools, and covered patios attached, and because these lots typically stretch long and stay narrow instead of square, borrowing a speaker plan built for a Chandler or Scottsdale yard will leave the rear third of the space here silent. That regional wrinkle is why homeowners here look for a Control4 dealer who already understands Gilbert construction, not a name off a list.
How a Control4 System Comes Together in a Gilbert Home
Amp AV works as a Control4 dealer for homes throughout Gilbert, and every job starts the same way: a sit-down consultation followed by a system proposal, plus a walkthrough of the house to find out what the builder actually left behind inside the walls. If you would like it, third party monitoring is available through the providers we recommend. Control4 offers several controller models that scale from a single room to a full house, so the brain of the system gets sized to the home instead of dropped in oversized or underpowered. After that, the choice of interaction is yours: physical keypads mounted near the door, a wall-mounted touch screen in the kitchen, the mobile app while you’re out at the pool, or voice commands. Control4 pairs with Josh AI as well, a voice platform designed around never selling or sharing homeowner data, something to factor in if voice control is what tips the decision. We only bring a control system into the conversation when there is an actual need driving it, not because it is easy to sell.

During the course of our new build, we got a few AV quotes, but when I visited the showroom and spoke to Greg I was sold. During the build process I was there daily watching subs and their work, AMP AV was always on time, extremely meticulous in the routing of cables and placement of equipment, and always clean. At the end of the install, everything was as planned and looks amazing. Never being a home audio guy, it sold me after this experience with Greg and Ryan. Also being a little tech challenged, they came back out to dial me and my wife in on how to use everything to it's potential. Definitely recommend, and this is not a paid review. 5 stars!Posted on Google![]()

Highly recommended. They installed a home theater surround sound system and also fixed some faulty wiring for our patio speakers. Excellent work quality, great communication, and showed up on time for each planned visit.Posted on Google![]()

Greg and his team are pros; they were very comprehensive in the consultation process, provided detailed quotes, and showed value. Once on-site the crew was knowledgeable, respectful, and eager to customize to meet our needs. I’d recommend any day of the week.Posted on Google![]()

Greg and his team were great to work with! Greg came out for the initial assessment and answered all of my questions. When his techs Ryan and Easton showed up they were prompt, courteous, and did a wonderful job installing my network drops and cameras. Highly recommend working with the Amp AV team!Posted on Google![]()

We absolutely recommend Greg/Amp AV. This company came out (hired mid to late 2019) and fixed a huge mess from our previous home automation guys. Our system was left complicated. Greg is honest, patient, and extremely willing to help. Amp AV gave us options and were willing to work around with the equipment we already had. Not only are they friendly and professional, the response time is quick and scheduling is made in a timely manner. We will continue to use this company and I would highly recommend for your home automation/tech needs. Prices are fair, I did compare to a few different companies.Load more
Gilbert Questions
Sometimes, but check first. Builder prewires are usually landed in a single closet with no ventilation and no rack space, and speaker runs are often placed for a builder's floor plan rather than where your furniture actually sits. We test every run before quoting, and it is common to add a few new runs or move the equipment closet before the Control4 system goes in. That inspection is part of the consultation.
In this market, parcels commonly extend deep instead of wide, meaning a speaker plan built around a square-shaped backyard tends to leave the tail end of an elongated yard without sound. We design outdoor zones around the actual shape of the lot, usually splitting a long yard into two or three zones with independent volume control rather than relying on one pair of speakers to cover the whole space evenly.
Larger homes common in Agritopia and Seville typically have more discrete living zones, media room, formal living, game room, primary suite, multiple patios, so home automation work is less about adding speakers and more about giving every zone independent control while keeping one system to manage. We plan zone counts and processing power around the actual room count of the home rather than a standard package, then build from there as budget allows.
This is common in Gilbert new construction: builders terminate every wire in a small closet with no ventilation and no space for a rack. When that closet cannot hold amplifiers, a matrix switch and networking gear without overheating, we relocate the working equipment to a nearby closet, garage wall or media cabinet with real airflow, and run the original wiring back to it, so the visible closet stays small but the electronics stay reliable.
Yes. Deep Gilbert lots often put the equipment closet near the front of the house and the media room, casita or theater far at the back, which is a longer cable run than a shallower Valley lot. We plan for that distance up front, using distribution methods rated for the actual run length so video and control signal reach the back of the house without dropouts.
