High-fidelity multi-room audio and the most advanced distributed video available for any home.
Amp AV handles savant installer in Gilbert and across the East Valley, about 15 minutes from our Mesa shop. Gilbert is largely a new-build town, and that is good news for anyone adding technology: a large share of the homes we see were prewired at construction, so the structured cabling is already in the walls waiting to be used.
What Gilbert's New Construction Means for Your System
When we install Savant automation in Gilbert, the starting point is usually the house itself. Most homes here went up within the last two decades, and a large share were prewired before the drywall went in, so the structured cabling for a whole-home system is often already sitting in the walls, waiting to be used. The catch is that a builder-grade prewire was designed to satisfy a spec sheet, not real speaker placement. We regularly find runs terminating in the wrong corner of a room, or every low-voltage cable in the house dumped into a coat closet with no airflow and no room for a rack. Sorting through that tangle accounts for the bulk of the effort on a Gilbert job. There’s also a site-layout issue to plan around: Gilbert parcels typically stretch long and narrow instead of square, and a speaker or camera layout sized for a compact backyard elsewhere will leave the back end of a Gilbert yard without coverage. We hear Agritopia, Seville, and Val Vista Lakes come up repeatedly in outdoor project discussions, since residents in those neighborhoods treat the backyard as genuine living space rather than a secondary area, and we factor that expectation in early when designing a Savant setup for a home in Gilbert.
How We Build the Savant System Itself
Once the wiring is sorted, installing Savant automation in a Gilbert home comes down to a Host, an interface, and the plan connecting them. The Host handles all the processing behind the scenes, and Savant’s bigger models, the Pro Host and Super Pro Host, are built on Mac hardware, which means a Gilbert media closet redo has to include proper airflow and enough rack room. Control from there comes down to preference: a phone running the Savant app, in-wall touch panels, or physical remotes, and in practice, most of the Gilbert homes we handle use a combination of all three depending on which room it is. We don’t start by selling a control system. We start by finding the actual need, usually universal control across several rooms of entertainment, then let it grow into lighting, climate, and shades once the household feels the convenience. Scenes make that concrete: one tap sets the patio, great room, and pool area for the evening, all from a system built for Gilbert’s outdoor-heavy homes.

During the course of our new build, we got a few AV quotes, but when I visited the showroom and spoke to Greg I was sold. During the build process I was there daily watching subs and their work, AMP AV was always on time, extremely meticulous in the routing of cables and placement of equipment, and always clean. At the end of the install, everything was as planned and looks amazing. Never being a home audio guy, it sold me after this experience with Greg and Ryan. Also being a little tech challenged, they came back out to dial me and my wife in on how to use everything to it's potential. Definitely recommend, and this is not a paid review. 5 stars!Posted on Google![]()

Highly recommended. They installed a home theater surround sound system and also fixed some faulty wiring for our patio speakers. Excellent work quality, great communication, and showed up on time for each planned visit.Posted on Google![]()

Greg and his team were great to work with! Greg came out for the initial assessment and answered all of my questions. When his techs Ryan and Easton showed up they were prompt, courteous, and did a wonderful job installing my network drops and cameras. Highly recommend working with the Amp AV team!Posted on Google![]()

We absolutely recommend Greg/Amp AV. This company came out (hired mid to late 2019) and fixed a huge mess from our previous home automation guys. Our system was left complicated. Greg is honest, patient, and extremely willing to help. Amp AV gave us options and were willing to work around with the equipment we already had. Not only are they friendly and professional, the response time is quick and scheduling is made in a timely manner. We will continue to use this company and I would highly recommend for your home automation/tech needs. Prices are fair, I did compare to a few different companies.Load more
Gilbert Questions
It usually saves time on the wiring itself, since we're not fishing new cable through finished walls. But we still test every run, because builder prewires are frequently mislabeled or land in a spot that doesn't match real speaker placement. We also usually need to rebuild the equipment closet itself, since a coat closet with no ventilation can't run a Host reliably. The prewire is a head start, not a finished job.
Not with a layout built for a square yard, no. Long, narrow lots common in Gilbert neighborhoods need speaker zones placed and powered differently than a compact backyard would, or the far end ends up silent while the patio is too loud. We walk the actual yard and place zones to match its shape, then group them into scenes so the whole space, not just the patio, is part of the system.
Only if we account for it before work begins. A lot of newer Gilbert subdivisions terminate all the builder's cabling in a shallow closet sized for a router, not a rack of processors, amplifiers and network gear. Savant equipment generates heat and needs airflow to run reliably, so before installation we check whether that closet can be vented and fitted with a proper rack, or whether equipment should move to a garage or another interior room with better air circulation.
Many Gilbert communities, including larger master-planned neighborhoods, have HOA guidelines restricting visible exterior equipment like speakers, screens or wiring. Savant itself doesn't create HOA conflicts: outdoor speakers, cameras and lighting control can be run through in-ground conduit and mounted in low-profile or landscape-integrated enclosures. We plan equipment placement around your specific HOA's visual guidelines during design, not after installation.
Yes. Gilbert's deeper lots, especially in neighborhoods like Agritopia and Seville, often include a detached casita or guest house rather than just a pool cabana. Savant can extend to that structure as its own zone, either networked back to the main equipment closet through buried conduit or run as a self-contained system with its own control point, so audio, video and climate in the casita operate independently of the main house.
